Squeeze Play was started in 2001 by John Anderson in order to give kids an opportunity to compete on a level playing field with warm weather states. By starting small and working with kids seven days a week, Anderson graduated some of South Dakota’s most decorated prep baseball players including: Dusty Coleman (Witchita State/Oakland A’s), Ryan Hander (Nebraska/LA Dodgers) and Bryce Ahrendt (Augustana/San Angelo Colts) to name a few.
But teaching baseball skills isn’t the only thing Anderson and his staff does for his players. He teaches them that attitude, effort and the importance of preparation is what makes not only a good baseball player, but a great person. The lessons learned at ‘The Squeeze’ go past the lines and into the real world. Squeeze Play lives by that mission statement and follows these ten simple rules of baseball and life.
